Question:

I have an Acura MDX that has a class III hitch - will this work as I. heard someone say you needed a class II hitch due to the length of the tube? TIA.

Yes! Actually, of all the hitch sizes that the Thule EasyFold Xt # TH903202 works with, a Class III 2" hitch is ideal!

I would like you to double-check your hitchpin hole distance first though on your hitch receiver tube. Usually there is a 1-1/2" distance from the face to the center of the hitch pin hole. I have heard but am unable to verify from the dealer that some Acura hitches have less than that. The attached picture shows how to measure for this distance, but I believe this is what you may have heard to check for length of tube. It is not common, but it happens.

Other than that, don't forget that you can pick up the extra-long ramp # TH933402 to go with this if you need an easier angle to roll your bikes up on. Also, if you have carbon frame bikes, make sure they're protecting from warping or cracking with the frame protector # TH984101.
