Timbren Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2010 Ford F-150 Towing a Horse Trailer

Updated 03/20/2013 | Published 03/18/2013

Question:

Is the 7000 lbs a stiffer rubber for heavier loads? I have a 2010 F 150 that I hull my 4 horse trailer with and loaded with horses and gear it weights about 8400 lbs. My hitch mount lowers about 2.5 inches so should I get the 6000 or the 7000??

The Timbren suspension enhancement system # TFRTT1502D is designed for service vehicles (fire trucks, ambulances, utility trucks) but not regular trucks. For your 2010 Ford F-150 you would want to go with the 6K system # TFR1502D that you referenced. It will work well with your horse trailer. Even though the trailer is more than the 6K capacity of the system, the tongue weight of the trailer that pulls the truck down is much less so the system will be very effective. I have included a link to an FAQ article on Timbren systems for you to view.
