What Might Cause Lippert Smart Jack To Work Going Up but Not Down

Question:

I have smart jack and when you push to have it raise up it clicks all most like a dead battery? It will come up fine but not down ,

Sounds like the screw or the motor of the Lippert Smart Jack # LC643589 is damaged or has an internal issue. The switch is obviously working and the motor works in the harder direction so something funny is wrong with it. If it's within a year old it's covered under warranty but if not it's time to buy a new one.
