Question:
I recently purchased an Rpod 192. It is towed by my 2001 Chevy Tahoe with a factory tow package. The Tahoe barely squats with the trailer on. The trailer is rated at 4860 loaded with 460 pounds tongue weight. The Curt Trutrac 17499 was recommended for my application by the RV dealer but I suspect it is what he carried. Looking at the specs it looks to be to much for my rig. I didnt have any problems towing the rig home about a 1000 mile trip but I also didnt encounter any high winds. I rather have this and not need it than not having one and needing it. Could use your recommendation. Also can this come with a pre-torqued 2inch ball? Thanks in advance.

The Curt # C17499 TruTrack is a great system, but it could rated a bit higher than what you actually need (depending on your actual as-towed trailer tongue weight). The system is designed for trailers with a fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight between 500-800 lbs. The best first step is to load your R-Pod up the way you normally would for a trip, then find its tongue weight. I'll link to an article that shows how to do this, but a scale like the etrailer Tongue Weight Scale # e99044 would be the easiest way to go. I've linked to a demonstration video showing how this scale works.
If your tongue weight IS above the 500 lb mark, then the TruTrack the dealer recommended would work fine. If the tongue weight is right at or below 500 lbs, I'd recommend going another direction by using the Fastway e2, part # FA92-00-0600 which is rated for trailers with tongue weights ranging from 250-600 lbs.
The system doesn't include the trailer ball, use # A-90 for a 2 inch ball or # 19286 if you need a 2-5/16 inch ball. You'll also need a 1-7/8 inch thin walled socket to install the ball. If you don't have or can't borrow one, we carry them as part # EQ70-00-4800.
I've linked to an install/setup video for the Fastway system mentioned above.
