Features to know about

Maintains Cooling on 12V Power

When you're relying on battery power and still need steady cooling, power setup becomes the weak point. This refrigerator runs on 12V power, so it operates directly from your system without needing AC input. It keeps food cold even when you're not plugged in.

Tracks Battery Status During Use

Running out of power without warning can leave you with warm food. The built-in battery monitor shows system status while the fridge is running. You can check power levels and avoid unexpected shutdowns during longer trips.

Reduces Maintenance With Auto-Defrost

Manual defrosting interrupts use and requires unloading everything. The auto-defrost system manages frost buildup during operation. It keeps airflow consistent and removes the need for routine defrosting.

Stays Secure During Travel

Doors can swing open and shift contents when you're on the move. Integrated latches keep the doors closed during travel. That prevents spills and keeps everything in place over rough roads or frequent stops.

Supports Flexible Interior Organization

Fixed layouts limit what you can store and how you use the space. Adjustable tempered glass shelves, door bins, and crisper drawers let you rearrange storage. You can fit different items without wasting space.

Video Transcript for Review of Furrion RV Refrigerators - Full Fridge - FR55TF

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at this Furrion RV refrigerator with freezer. It's gonna be 10.6 cubic foot of space, runs on 12 volts of power, and it's a nice black color with a right-hand open door. So the doors are gonna swing to the right. You can change that out with the included hardware and make it swing to the left if you need to, just like most fridges that are out there. Now, starting off, this is a great option because it's gonna use less power.

It runs on 12 volts, right So it's gonna stay operational off battery power without needing any kind of AC hookups. And this can actually monitor, or you can monitor the battery status while it's running because it has a built-in battery monitor. It's gonna show power levels during use. I do wanna zoom in here real quick from the start, there's some things that you're just not gonna be able to see close enough on the camera today, but you have the power button there on the top-left with the cooling settings on the top-right, and then the bottom-left, you got a better view of the compressor on the backside, and then a closeup of those wires for wall power, negative, and ground. And I will be able to spin this around, I do have it on a cart.

So, we'll talk height real quick before I spin it around. Again, I'm on a cart, the fridge itself is 59 and five-eighth inches tall, by 23 and three-eighths, by 25 and three-quarters of an inch. So, again, spinning around, you can see the side, that same nice black. And then on the back, you got your traditional, just a bare metal plate. And then down below, you can see that compressor and all the electrical hookups that I showed you in that image.

So, I did wanna spin it around just so you can, kind of, get an idea of what you're looking at. And then, obviously, if we take a look inside, we got our freezer. And one thing that you probably can't see either, but you've got. It says, "Super Freeze," it's got a picture of a fish, some kind of turkey and some meat. And it says, "One to two months, four to six months, six to twelve months." So it's a quick little visual to kind of show you how long food's gonna last.

You got one single glass tray in here. It is secured in there on the left-hand side with a set screw, and a keeper, excuse me. So, you just have one option here. Over here, you have the tray, same thing, just the one option as far as, you can't raise or lower this one and you can't raise or lower the freezer tray. Now, this operates at 42 decibels, so it's a low-sound output as well, that's gonna reduce disruption in those compact and small living spaces. On the fridge side, obviously, there's no power connector right now, so you're not gonna see it lit up, but it does light up. And the door keepers do keep it closed during travel, so it can't just pop open. On this one, you have two small trays and a large tray. And the only one that you can move on this one are these two side trays. And just like most fridges, you just kind of pop 'em up, and then put it in the next one. So, again, kind of hard to do with it on this roller, so I'm just gonna leave 'em in that position. Same thing with your shelf, you got one, two, but you have four slots. And again, there is a keeper that you have to unscrew, on the left-hand side here, to get that moved. And then of course, you have your crisper drawer on the bottom. Again, folks, you can adjust the storage, you have glass shelves, you have plastic bins, drawers, so you have lots of space here for different food layouts. The refrigerator, the bottom half, is gonna give you 7.4 cubic foot of usable space. The freezer's gonna give you 3.2 cubic foot of usable space. And as I mentioned before, you have integrated latches here on the side, that's gonna keep those doors closed during transit. Again, folks, this is gonna be a great option for you if you're upgrading, or if you just wanna use something that runs on 12 volt, versus, maybe you have an older propane version or something like that, where they're noisy and they're just using extra fuel for no reason, this would be a great option. The technology's come a long way. Running things, on 12 volt, this large used to be unheard of. So, it's a great option for you. Once again, you can swap the doors to a left-hand side if you so choose, but it's gonna come as a right-hand swing door. I'm Steve with etrailer, that's gonna wrap up our time together. Thanks for watching and have a great day.

The refrigerator was supposed to be delivered with right hand door. It was a left hand. I had to reverse it myself had to figure it out because the manual wasn’t very explicit.
