Question:
When wiring the ETBC7L where should I connect the auxiliary wire? 12v power or reverse light do I need to connect this wire? should I splice into the reverse light?

Helpful Expert Reply:
When installing the # ETBC7L on your 2021 Toyota RAV4 you don't have to make the connection to the reverse light circuit or auxiliary power circuit with the yellow wire if you don't want to. If you want to splice into the reverse light circuit you'll need to locate it on your tail lights using the circuit tester like the # PTW2993; this would really only be necessary if you're towing a boat trailer that has an electric reverse lockout and not having it connected won't affect the use of a brake controller like the Curt Echo # C51180. If you do want to connect it, tap into the reverse light circuit on the left hand turn signal.
