Replacement Hub and Braking Assemblies For Trailer Using Dexter 023-217-00 Brakes

Question:

I have a2014 Haulmark car hauler. Tandem wheels . 24.9 length and rated 7000lbs. I am looking for the correct replacement brakes and hubs w/ packings. The current number on sticker is 023-217-00. Can you help?

The Dexter hub assembly 023-217-00 you mentioned is for a braking assembly for a 3500lb axle and 10" x 2-1/4" hub.

The correct replacement brakes would be the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies # AKEBRK-35-SA.

The replacement hub and drum assemblies are more than likely the # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K which include inner bearing # L68149, outer bearing # L44649, races, grease seal, grease cap, and lug nuts but you will want to confirm that your spindle has this same bearing combination by removing one of your current hubs and looking for the bearing numbers stamped in the face of each bearing as shown in the included picture of the # L44649.
