Question:
I have a 2018 Ford 150, crew cab with 275 /65R18 tires. I live in Colorado and use chains to get into and out of our home. Not unusual to be driving in 12-24inch snow. I do not use chains on highway however I do use them on a all-weather road that leads into our home - the road is essentially a gravel road. I might find myself driving 5-6 miles on the gravel road. Ive not used square link chains however leaning that way as they sound more durable. What is your recommendation.

Square link chains are awesome! While the general rule of thumb is that twist links are great for snow situations and square links are for "snow and ice" weather, I personally think square links as the best for all-around purposes. The newer premium tire chains are usually square link chains.
My favorite tire chain that fits your vehicle is the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern # TC2533. It's my favorite since it's ridiculously easy to install and the diamond pattern covers more of the tire for increased traction during turns. If you're putting them on just for the 6 mile road to your house, then you might enjoy the easy no-crawling-behind-your-tire install process that this offers.
If you like the traditional ladder style chain, then the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains w/ Cams # TC2228SCAM is a good option too. While these do have their own cam tighteners, I still use the separate tensioners # TCMA2 with these since the tensioners continuously tighten the chains while you're driving. It reduces the install, drive a bit, stop to re-adjust chains process that can get old quick.
Both of these are great chains made of manganese nickel alloy steel. The manganese in there makes the chains harder compared to the low-carbon steel that other chains are made of. That's why these are my best recommendations for you since you need that extra durability on your gravel road. I attached videos below you might want to check out to see how each chain installs on your truck.
Also, you can pick up our tire chain safety kit # PO34FRK for when you're installing your chains on the side of the road.
