Can Roadactive Suspension System Have Tension in Spring Lowered to Not Affect Ride Height

Updated 06/12/2026 | Published 06/10/2026

Question:

can I adjust the roadactive suspension system so it doesnt raise the stock rear height of my truck while not towing or hauling. I understand that after normal installation it will raise the rear of the truck about an inch. 2025 f 150

Hey Richard, yes you can set the tension in the springs of the RoadActive Suspension Kit part # RAS3611-Y low enough so that the suspension height is not raised at all. If you add in a lot more tension it will slightly affect the ride height like you mentioned. What are you towing with your truck?

Thanks for the reply and information. I tow a Rockwood 2506 Minilite 26' caamper weighing approx. 6,000 lbs with a weight distribution hitch. I experience some bouncing (porposing) and hope that adding the roadactive suspension system will help reduce this and help with sway due to wind and cross heavy truck traffic. My old 2019 F 150 had Summo springs and bilstein shocks which did a good job.

@Richard We're towing an Outdoors RV 260RLS with an F150 (Max tow package). Trailer is 10,000. I previously had air bags on an old trailer and truck. We added the Roadactive Suspension System and have been happy with it.
