Will the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender Work With Cargo Carrier

Question:

Would this work with a cargo carrier? Im looking for a swing-out cargo carrier to use with a custom-built camp kitchen box. I need to leave the box attached to the cargo carrier while camping and also have easy access to the hatchback of a 2021 Toyota Highlander. The other option I was considering is not using a hitch cargo carrier and attaching the box directly to 10421 Rola Cargo Carrier Swinging Arm Assembly. Any thoughts on the best approach?

Yes, you can use a swing away adapter such as the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender part # PVP20B or part # PVD20B with a cargo carrier. That said, you will need to abide by the weight capacity which is 250 lbs or 50% of the trailer hitches capacity, whichever is lower.
