Features to know about

Keep Your Camper Stable: Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs

These custom-fit tie-downs mount directly to your truck’s frame, which is the strongest point available. That means your camper weight is distributed evenly and kept low, so it won’t sway or shift on rough roads or in crosswinds. The design avoids a top-heavy setup and keeps your truck handling the same whether you’re hauling or not.

Install Without Drilling: Custom-Fit Mounts

Each bracket bolts to pre-existing holes in the frame, so you don’t have to drill or modify anything. The fit is completely custom, giving you a clean installation that sits tight to the frame and maintains good ground clearance. You get solid tie-down points without compromising your truck’s structure.

Built to Last: Powder-Coated Steel Construction

Made from heavy-duty steel, these tie-downs are finished with a high-impact powder coat for protection against rust and wear. The tough build holds up through long trips and harsh weather, keeping your setup dependable season after season.

Clean Look When Not in Use: Removable Arms

When the camper is off, you can remove the tie-down arms so only the brackets remain tucked under the truck—barely visible. It keeps your truck looking stock while still being ready for the next trip.

Pickup truck with TorkLift frame-mounted tie-downs installed under the body, demonstrating low-profile and nearly invisible mounting design.

Secure Connection Options: Adjustable Anchor Points

Each arm includes two pin holes so you can adjust how far it extends from the body, letting turnbuckles (sold separately) clear fenders or sidewalls easily. With two anchor holes on each plate, you can set your tension and angle just right for a stable, multi-point hold that keeps your camper firmly in place.

Extended TorkLift tie-down arm connected to camper turnbuckle showing adjustable anchor positioning for secure attachment.

Easy to install, only took a couple of hours
by:
I only just received them. They look pretty beefy. Have not installed them yet. Quick shipping! Got them in a few days! Will install tomorrow then use them for a little while to give a better review.
by:
The driver side front bracket has to be modified around the fuel line holder bolts that are on the frame. A real pain in the ass. I need a machine shop or a cutting torch. The other mounted up no problem.
by:
Directions for the front were no the easiest, but I watched a video from your company, and he did step by step, and they are on. Back ones were easy.
by:
Easy to install. Took less than 2 hours to install without any drilling required.

After selling previous truck camper and getting a new truck these tie downs are outstanding. The direct fit for year make model is awesome. Takes the guess work out installation. The install instructions were really good as well as etrailers videos. etrailer is the great providing product install walk thru. The adjustability of these tie downs made my life easier when I picked up my new TLRV 8 foot truck camper.

A year later, no issues with tie downs, except normal wear and tear and metal to metal wearrust progression. These tiedowns are designed great and fit function was clearly created by someone who knows not only design but install ! E-trailer is “the” place to buy rv, camper, towing etc products - the install videos are sooooo helpful ! Thx ET !

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

@Paul That's what we like to hear! Torklift makes some really solid parts. That camper looks really good on that truck!

They seem stout and were easy enough to install. I added my own 2” square rubber caps to the ends to keep road debris out when they’re not in use, those should be included. For $850 the packaging could use some work. They arrived all banged up, the “high impact powder coat” is worn off in several areas leaving bare steel exposed.

I ordered this kit for my 2018 Ford F150 'Heavy Half' regular cab, long bed pickup. The tie downs came with all the necessary hardware, good instructions, were easy to install with basic tools, and required no drilling. Shipping was very fast. I would absolutely recommend TorkLift tie downs and etrailer.com.

Looks great! What kind of camper do you have?

by:
2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty
I did a lot of research to find the right kind of frame mounts for my dads truck. Lots of local RV places didn't even know what I was looking for, or quoted me for the wrong parts. After I was certain I found the right tie downs, I contacted etrailer customer service chat representative and they were a great help at confirming the parts I found would in fact fit my dads truck. My husband and dad installed them in less than 2 hours. The parts came quickly and in excellent packaging/condition.

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

@LazerS Thanks for the reply! The truck is currently stock, but we are getting airbags and new shocks placed on the truck tomorrow. We were told by our local 4 wheel parts the airbags will help lessen the load on the back of the truck with the weight of the camper. Hopefully they gave us the correct information. If you have other suggestions, I am open to hearing them! Thanks!

@Megan Air bags are what I was going to recommend! Great minds think alike. : ) With them being fully adjustable, they are definitely the way to go. They can change the unloaded ride a little, but not nearly as much as some other ways of doing it that are not adjustable. Sounds like you guys are doing everything right to me. Let me know how it goes!

Absolutely the only way to correctly attach your truck camper. Pair these white Fastguns and it’s a great combo. I just went on a 5000 mile trip with my TC and never moved an inch.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.

@Clay Happy to hear the # TL86NR are working well and keeping your setup solid. Paired with the fast gun turnbuckles is about as good as it gets. What type of in bed camper do you have?

1996 Ford F-250 and F-350
Really disappointed for the cost. First of all it says several times in the description that it requires no drilling. That’s not the case at all. I had to drill 12 holes in my truck frame. The bolts included for the top mounting bracket were the incorrect length so I had to purchase longer grade eight bolts to install as suggested by the manufacturer with a lock washer and nut. The cheaped out on spacers (like shown in the directions) and included huge washers and to top it off the slide in mounts were all scraped up and have peeling powder coating. I feel like I got absolutely ripped off.

This kit is a solid support system, very beefy. The tie down points on your camper will get ripped out before this would fail.

  • Recommended TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs For A 2004 Ford F-350
Hey Brandon, The TorkLift Tie Downs # TL93VV has the correct front tie-down, but the incorrect rear tie-down for your F-350. You would need the TorkLift # TL38PR instead. to complete the setup you'll also need some turnbuckles like the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs # TLS9529-2-LK.

  • Availability Of Individual Brackets For TorkLift Custom Frame Mounted Camper Tie Downs
Hello Krik, thanks for reaching out. The TorkLift Custom Frame Mounted Camper Tie Downs are only sold as a full kit. I am sorry to say we do not have a way to provide just the brackets by themselves. You could try reaching out directly to TorkLift to see if they can provide the parts you need. Otherwise the only solution I can offer would be a whole new set of tie downs.

  • TorkLift Camper Tie Downs for a 2000 Ford F-350 Dually
Hi Dana, I'd be happy to help you get the right tie downs for your 2000 Ford F-350 dually. You're right that the frame is a little different than the 2002, so the same kit won't interchange. If you have an 8 foot bed and no running boards, or only cab length running boards, the correct front and rear TorkLift Tie Downs are Part # TL38PR if you have the factory hitch. If you have a non TorkLift aftermarket hitch, you'll need Part # TL74FV. If you have a TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum 30K,...

Hey Seth! The R3500 isn't what you need for your 2001 F-350. Assuming you have no running boards or cab length running boards. you need the TorkLift Tie Downs - Custom Frame Mount - Front and Rear # TL38PR. This includes the F2011 front and F3001 rear tie downs. TorkLift doesn't list their installation instructions online so they aren't readily available. However, we do have an installation video on a 2003 which I linked further down on this page. You can take a look at the video to see...

Hi Nate, You’re on the right track. Both the TorkLift tie down kits you found will fit your 2004 Ford F 350 Crew Cab dually with the 8 foot bed, factory hitch, and running boards that stop at the cab. The difference between them is the material. Part # TL38PR is the steel version, while part # TL98PR is the aluminum version. Both kits include the front and rear frame mounted tie downs you’ll need. Either one will do the job, so it really comes down to which material you prefer. The steel...
