Question:

Can this carrier be modified to swing to the left instead of the right? The tailgate on my Jeep swings to the right. If this went the other way it would be much more useful. Thanks

The Yakima EXO Swing Away Cargo Carrier part # Y72VR only swings out to the passenger side which is by design because it's away from traffic. That said, I do have an option for you that will swing out to the driver side but it would be a combination of parts using the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender part # PVD20B and Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier part # S68FR. The good thing about this option is that you can use the swing-away with any accessory that has a 2" shank such as a bike rack or any cargo carrier of your choosing.
