Will Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks Fit Tesla Model Y

Question:

Does the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender fit the Telsa Model Y? I have hitch tow bar and just afraid there is not enough bumper clearance. Do you have any pic showing it will fit without any issue? Thank you

Hi Kevin; we haven't tested the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender # PVP20B on a Tesla Model Y so you will have to measure to see if there will be enough clearance. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the extender is 5-3/16". As long as you have this much clearance from the hitch pin hole on your receiver to the end of the bumper you will be able to use the swing away extender on your vehicle.

Hi Robin, Thank you for the measurement provided. I think Kuat Pivot 2 is too tight for the Model Y and it will hit the bumper. I have decided to go with Yakima Backswing instead for better clearance. Kind regards,
