What do you recommend for this car? I see 2 options, and did read some recommendations but they were for newer cars. I’m simply wanting a high bar for a bike rack. Hope to hear from you soon.

For your 2014 Tesla Model S the EcoHitch Stealth hitch part # 306-X7201 is the best option overall and for carrying a bike rack. It's mostly hidden and has great ground clearance as well. It has a 2" receiver which allows you more options for bikes or cargo carriers.
If you are in need of a bike rack the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider # HR200Z is a great option that's very solid and a great value overall.
