Question:
I received a PVC grommet and replacement 2 1/2 inch side amber lamp for my 2018 Load Trail 16 foot trailer. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to install it. If I put the grommet in first, I cant get the lamp inserted into the grommet. If I put the lamp in first, I cant get the outer seal of the grommet inserted. Thanks.

Without seeing what the issue is it's extremely difficult to say what the problem may be. But the way it should go is you first insert the PVC Grommet # 142-18, and then push in the Peterson Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light # M143A.
You can actually see this in action at about the 2:20 mark or so of the video I linked for you. It is possible you may need to enlarge the hole ever so slightly if the problem is it isn't quite large enough for the grommet and light.

I’m also having trouble installing 2 1/2” round clearance lights. If you have a video could you send it to me? Thanks
