Trailer Wiring Does Not Work On My 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question:
After reading several comments for the same issue im having, i still need to ask an expert. The dealer and their so call experts said i need a code for them to flash the computer? i think they have no clue. Took a day off from work for almost nothing. I need it then i cant tow anything!

The dealership is correct in a sense. Even though your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the factory tow package wiring, the wiring may not be activated. You may have to take the vehicle to the dealership so they can program the computer to activate the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # C55515. Should only take about 10 minutes. It is not uncommon on some vehicles that have factory tow package wiring and it not be activated. As far as a code needed, I haven't heard that. If there is a code needed it should come from the dealership for the computer on your vehicle. They should be able to obtain that information from your VIN #.
