This Curt T-Connector harness connects directly to the factory tow package port for a clean, plug-in setup. There’s no cutting or splicing needed—just match the connectors and you’re good to go. It’s built for vehicles that already have the OEM tow package wiring in place, so installation is quick and straightforward.
The 5-pole flat connector gives you running lights, left and right turn signals, brake lights, ground, and a reverse lamp circuit. The blue wire feeds power from the reverse light circuit, which is perfect for boat trailers or surge brake setups that need an electric lockout when backing up.
Each lead on the Curt T-Connector is clearly color-coded for easy confirmation of function—white for ground, brown for running lamps, yellow for left turn/brake, green for right turn/brake, and blue for the reverse lamp feed. The design keeps wiring straightforward and dependable so you can focus on towing safely.

Installed in a 2014 jeep grand Cherokee. Factory wiring plug was right under the rear bumper as e-trailer specified. Plug and play, couldn't ask for anything better
Plugged right in to my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee factory trailer wiring harness. Jeep dealer had to "flash" computer to recognize trailer wiring, but that was simple and quick. Works great!
Holding up great! Unfortunately my trailer had a 4 pole connector, but it was easy to modify to connect with this.
The connection was wrong. So picked up a $6.50 connection at hardware store and spiced it onto the old one. Used heat shrink and electrical tape. Works like it should.
Direct plug and play for my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. There are some things you need to know about the vehicle itself though! Before ordering, look under your rear bumper and make sure the 4/7 pin factory plug is tucked up under there. Different year/trim level grand Cherokees may or may not have the factory wiring. Mine did, so easy plugin.
Second, the dealer has to get into the vehicles computer and activate the trailer light controls. So, even after installing you WILL NOT have power until you take it to the dealer and have them activate it. Plenty of info online about it, Google will find it for you. If you are savvy and have a elm327 compatible OBDII hookup, you can pay about $50 for software that will allow you to get in and activate it yourself for cheaper than the dealer. 2018 and newer have a firewall, so the $100 dealer trip might be your best bet.
Purchased this to use on a 2014 Ram 1500 with factory trailer brake set up. The cable worked fine to stop trailer when pressing the brake. But it wouldn't let me manually brake the trailer or control the pressure of the brake from my control.
The harness is what we wanted. The issue we are having is with Motor city Chrysler, when we bought the Jeep we had a hitch and wiring included. They wiring never did work because they just spliced the wires in the taillight. We bought the harness to plug in the factory plug only to find out the dealer has to activate the trailer lights through the computer. They want to charge us $[XX] to diagnose the problem. We are still arguing with them and next stem is Chrysler headquarters.
I didn't realize this part did not plug into the 7 pin RV socket, instead it connects to the plug that connects to the back of the RV socket. Had I realized that, I would have ordered a different adapter. Since I threw out the packaging, I can't return it. However, the quality of the part is top notch and I would highly recommend it to those who need this type of adapter.

still dont have a need for it as I bought a different adapter. Might get a vehicle down the road that will need it though.
Hitch arrived within one week as expected. Watched video, read instructions & installed the hitch in 20 min. Had a question about the wiring harness; etrailer customer service answered the phone directly and provided the information.

Fast delivery. Quick and easy wiring harness installation. Note that for my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the vehicle computer had to be updated to activate the trailer light function.... yep. I found a dealer that did it for $xx others wanted $xxx. 20 minute job to activate the lights.
