Question:

I need a ladder standoff that has a square base and is 6 inches from the back of rv to ladder. Can you advise me on what you have that may work?

We have 2 ladder standoffs with square bases, the Replacement Stand-Off Brace for Surco Universal Exterior RV Ladders # SPN-416, and the Replacement Ladder Support Peg for Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder # 8535 you referenced.

They both have the same dimensions, which you can see from the attached photo. They have overall length of about 5 inches, so the ladder would about 5 inches away from the back of the RV not 6 inches like you measured. To get the 6 inches you need, you could make a spacer and attach it to the RV then attach the standoffs to the spacer.

Another solution would be to replace the ladder, but I think a spacer and replacement standoff would be the easier more cost effective way to go. I linked the parts mentioned above along with our selection of RV ladders for you to check out.
