It looks like this will work with my Yakima backswing 4, but is there an upgrade option th works with existing hardware? Or upgrade lock/pin combo that works with bar interior nut?

I checked with Yakima and the bolt size that comes with the replacement mounting hardware part #8830021 is 1/4-20 x 2.25" in size.

I believe you are referring to the Yakima HoldUp #Y02443. If you need just the HitchLock alone, that is the #Y07235. However, if you need the hitch pin that is compatible with both the HitchLock and the HoldUp itself, that is the #Y8890200.

Hi Victor; like many other bike racks the Yakima DoubleDown uses a uniquely threaded hitch pin so you will need to stick with the Yakima replacement. The hitch pin is the #Y8890176 and then for the lock you can use the #Y07235.
