The bolt is too short to go through the hitch and have the lock fit. Do you make a longer bolt that comes with the Yakima or equivalent lock?

My Yakima hitch which I purchased back in 2003 had a hitch pin that worked with a Yakima hitch pin lock on my previous vehicle. I purchased a Toyota Tacoma with a factory hitch and the the original hitch pin was not long enough to allow the lock to be attached to the pin. This new pin which has a longer shaft solved the problem and I can now use the hitch pin lock again to lock my Yakima bike rack to the hitch.

The Replacement Hitch Bolt and Clip for Yakima HoldUp Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier - 2" Hitches - Y889020 was purchased for a used bike rack I purchased was missing. Unfortunately it was the wrong size, I had to purchase a different nut to fit the both. Yakima needs the list bolt size and number of threads so customers can tell if it will fit.

Still working fine!
Needed a threaded hitch pin for my old Yakima bike carrier. The original that came with the carrier was too short for my Toyota Tundra that allowed the locking device to work. This part was exactly what was needed, worked perfectly! Ordered on Sunday, shipped on Sunday, arrived in just a few days. At a great price too! Thanks etrailer.

Stephen, I am having a problem with my old Yakima bike rack pin being too short for my 2015 Tacoma. Is this one longer than the original Yakima? The description isnt too clear on that. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.Thanks

Ordered a hitch for our 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Works great. Then ordered a Yakima hitch-mounted bike rack. Also works just as advertised. Changed hitch mount from 1-1/4” with adapter to a straight 2” shaft. Much cleaner fit (no rattling). Needed the bolt/nut for the new configuration. This actually is the longest version made. It was redesigned a few years ago to fit the factory Toyota hitches as they have much thicker sidewalls that other hitches. What size hitch are you installing this in? And is it a factory or aftermarket hitch?
