I have a 2020 chevy equinox LT Trying to figure the differnce between the blue ox ascent and the roadmaster night hawk Also are the other items I would require to install tow bar? The Blue Ox Ascent # BX4370 and the Roadmaster Nighthawk part # RM-676 are both very nice tow bars with many of the same features. both will work great but from using both Roadmaster and Blue Ox flat towing components I think the Blue Ox setups are a bit easier to use. The Nighthawk does have LEDs in the outer arms but that's only real distinct feature difference.

For your 2020 Chevy Equinox the correct base plate kit is the # BX1730. The DUO part # SM99251 is the easiest install and performs the best, and the charge line kit # RM-156-25 will keep the battery topped off.

Only thing you are missing is a lighting solution.

For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.
