2023 Ram 1500 etrailer Hitch Receiver Fitment

Question:
I believe I can make this fit my 2023 1500 Ram. I just need to gring or cut the existing ears and drill the rear holes. My question is, what is the dimension between the two plates? I believe it will probably be a standard dimension across most factory bumper ball support pipes, but I just want to be sure. Thank you in advance

Hey Chris, I'd love to help you get a hitch for your 2023 Ram 1500!
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98852 is designed for the previous generation Ram trucks to your 2023 so it would require you to modify your truck to get it to fit. I'm not sure of that distance between the brackets that you're asking about, but the good news is that we have the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e28ZR you can use instead!
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e28ZR is tailored for your exact truck setup and won't require any modifications at all, which is much more preferred.
Both hitches have a max towing capacity of 6K so the only real difference is that the hitch you're asking about is rated for use with a weight distribution system but the one that was designed for your truck.
