The Etrailer video exactly covered the complete installation. Instructions on the video were perfect.
Installed this on my 2013 Prius to tow my 8 foot trailer. This system included eveything I needed except for smaller hands to get into the tight spaces that Toyota provides.
Other than the ergonomics, which isn't the fault of eTrailer or Curt, this was a plug and play operation with clear and concise instructions.
I normally have the flatpack pigtail under the floormat, resting on top of the spare tire, so when it is not in use, there is no interference.
I give this device 5 stars, and have no problem recommending it to others.
I also give 5 stars to eTrailer for their prices and shipping speed.
You can't go wrong with this T connector harness, and eTrailer.
Bought this to install in our 2012 Prius III, along with the Curt hitch. I had it all installed with no problems in about 45 minutes. Works great and the quality of the product is excellent too. Thanks E-trailer!

This was a LOT easier than I anticipated! Instructions are simple, the wiring harness is a real plug-n-play. Took me about 15-20 minutes. I never had a moment where I felt like I was in trouble with the installation. In fact, as I completed each step I found myself saying Thats it? Im really ready for the next step? Great product!

Works perfectly
After using this product for one year, I would definitely recommend it! It was easy to install and continues to work well!
I thought the product was very well made, nicely priced and easy to install. The only negative is the instructions did not take into account a few things such as the silver mount rings and it says to pull back the felt to get to light plugs. This would damage it. Have to pull out a couple areas around this to safely get to the plugs.

So far still good
Everything works perfect..wiring harness and hitch receiver..I am able to tow 13' Whaler with Gen2 Prius.
It was very easy to install and use, and tuck out of the way when not needed. I use it many times over the past year on my 05 Prius for towing a utility trailer (have also installed overload springs). I have been very happy with the product and have recommended it to friends.

Just as well as ever! I still use it regularly to connect my Prius to a utility trailer.
Complete kit, easy to install in less than an hour on my 2010 Prius. No need for a multimeter no stripping wires and no drilling since I connected the negative wire to the battery and the module mounts with double sided tape. Trailer lights are nice and bright and correct. This is the way to go.

I hauled a 9ft, 900 lb. pool table 170 miles and got 45 mpg.
The instructions were great, the product totally satisfactory, and I installed my trailor lighting harness on my gen 2 Prius without a hitch (pun intended)!
I bought this and did NOT read the instructions. I just watched the video and installed the hitch and the wiring harness within one and a half hours. It was awesome. I was contemplating purchasing a truck because I am remodeling my house, but my brother suggested I get a trailer. I researched and found E Trailer. So simple and I am sooo Happy!!
The prices were awesome in comparison and saved on sales tax. Shipment came in 2 days after ordering!! Awesome...

It has been a year and Im still enjoying this product. When I was at Home Depot the other day getting Sheetrock a lady was asking about is as she had a blue Prius. I gave her product name and number which was conveniently on the hitch! I told her the ease of installing. Thanks again! Teresa
Watched the video that was sent and that made the installation go smoothly and quickly. Used tester that I also ordered and tested before putting the panels back in. Super easy, straightforward and only a couple of tools needed -- no wire splicing. Really glad I got the tester, because when I hooked up trailer, that has been sitting awhile, no lights worked. So, a little more work to do on the trailer end, but I know wiring is good from car. Thanks Etrailer.com -- 5 stars!
I think it took me about 90 minutes to install. The harness itself was a snap and took less than 10 minutes to connect and tie down.

Great product. Very easy to install with help from video on line. Thanks would order from again.
The images in the installation pamphlet were from a different car and not the prius, so the connection locations were slightly different, but overall this is a great kit. It was fairly easy to install, only required to use a couple of the included zip ties to route the wires and a 10mm to connect it to the battery. No cutting or splicing of the car's current wiring system.

Its been fantastic. Ive gotten a few Uhaul trailers and had no issue with the wiring harness nor the hitch, both purchased from etrailer.com
I came across this site by accident and am glad I did. My girlfriend and I do a lot of canoeing and have been dealing with portage problems. This will now allow her to pull a small trailer behind her Prius for the canoe when needed for the 2nd vehicle.
The installation was simple and straightforward enough that with my guidance she was able to do both the hitch and the wiring harness with me as HER assistant.We almost didn't go this route because of other makers' products having to be spliced into the harness.

C56147 did not fit my 2014 Toyota Prius V. Prius female connector (circled in red) does not align with C56147 male connector (green). Anyone else run into this problem?

Hi Tobin, the part # C56147 will not work for your 2014 Prius V, but the part # 118610 is a confirmed fit. I'll make sure you receive a return label for the one that won't fit.

The best of the best, really working fantastic after maybe 3 year . Nice to do business with nice company and excellent parts.
Perfect fit and super quick install. It may have took 10 minutes from start to finish. 1 10mm socket required and no other tools were needed. Love that it is fused.I did run plug out tgrough an existing grommet for a cleaner install.

Easy to install, Just plug in. The hardest part was accessing the OEM plug on the passenger side. Used existing Hardware for Battery and Ground connections. Power lead is fused to protect vehicle battery and electrical system. Worked first time. This unit draws no current from vehicle signals, important as Toyota wiring will NOT support additional load !
