How To Add a Trailer Hitch To a 2019 Ram 1500 with Cross Tube Under Rear Bumper

Question:

I just got a 2019 Ram 1500 and went to look under the rear bumper to find out I have a hitch but no receiver tube. What gives? How do I add the receiver tube?

The 2019 Ram 1500 would have came from the factory with either a factory trailer hitch that has both the cross tube and receiver tube opening or it could have came without the factory hitch that has the cross tube but not the receiver tube opening. Therefore, if you have the cross tube under the rear bumper but not the receiver tube opening then all you need is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13419 which is a simple bolt-on installation.
