Question:

Looking at the Curt and Draw-Tite Class III hitches for my 2019 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 (144" wheelbase regular bumper) and trying to figure out which would have better ground clearance. Do you happen to have this info?

We haven't had the chance to install both the Curt # C13388 and Draw-Tite # 75549 trailer hitches on the Mercedes Sprinter to do a comparison, however I did go out to our warehouse to take a measurement on each to determine which will sit higher off the ground when mounted.

For each hitch I measured from the center of the top mounting hole to the lowest point. On the Curt hitch this measurement was 11" and on the Draw-Tite it was 12-1/4", meaning the Curt # C13388 is definitely the best choice in terms of providing better ground clearance. The hitch will sit higher up against the button of the rear bumper on your Sprinter.
