Question:

I have a 2020 Mercedes Sprinter 3500XD 170inch wheel base with standard bumper. I measured 34 5/8inch between the frame. Does this hitch fit?

Expert Reply:

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13388 will not fit your 2020 Mercedes Sprinter 3500XD with the 170" wheel base. I measured the receiver in our shop and it 33-1/2" wide between the frame rail mounting points.

We do also have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13358 that mounts to the outside of the frame. While Curt has not been able to confirm that this will fit on an XD version of the Sprinter 3500 you can check your frame outside width to see if it has the same width. This receiver is 39-3/8" wide and mounts to the outside of the frame rails. This receiver is designed to be used on models with a rear step bumper also.
