Does Curt Hitch 13375 Fit 2015 Freightliner Mercedes Sprinter 3500 w/ Factory Step Bumper & 144 WB

Question:

I have a 2015 freight liner 3500 , 144 sprinter van with factory step bumper, just purchased a Curt receiver hitch # 13375 , your sales department says this will work , but the width of the support brackets fit on the outside of the frame struts , the same as the brackets for the metal frame for the step , I don’t think this will work , do you have any suggestions

Your 2015 Freightliner Mercedes Sprinter 3500 with the 144 inch wheelbase and factory step bumper is indeed compatible with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13375.

The brackets and step frame do fit together, as you'll remove the factory hardware, and install the bolts that come with the # 13375 from the inside of the frame rail through the frame, step brackets, and hitch brackets. I have added a cut out of the instructions which show this.

The only exception for why it would not fit is if your frame measured 30-3/8" from outside to outside.
