Do Hitches for 2021 Mercedes Benz 2500 Sit Lower if Step Bumper is Present

Question:

Im looking at getting a 2021 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 passenger van. I know there are different hitchs for the van depending on whether it has the rear bumper step or not. Ive been told the bottom of the hitch that works with the rear step bumper sits lower than the hitch that would be used without the rear step. Is it possible to confirm this? If so, how much lower is it? Thanks,

The hitches that fit the 2021 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 2500 with the step bumpers like part # 75601 do sit lower than the vehicles that do not have the step bumper like part # 75549. If you check out the two picture I attached you can see that the hitches fit right up to the bottom of the rear bumper and if the step is there the hitch sits the width of the step down from that point.
