Question:
I am contemplating between EcoHitch Stealth Hitch for my Tesla Model S with refresh fascia. Is this a good choice for my Refresh model. Why so $$$?

The EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7202 is a confirmed fit your 2016 Tesla Model S.
This EcoHitch is constructed from an alloy which consists of a combination of recycled aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. Using these recycled materials in the manufacturing process is costly, but also more environmentally friendly. The EcoHitch uses a 2" receiver, which is important because the larger 2" receiver will have many more options for higher quality accessories than the 1-1/4" receivers of other hitches. The EcoHitch has a tongue weight capacity of 300 lbs and a towing capacity of 2000 lbs, which is likely higher than that of your Tesla so you will need to check with your dealer or owner's manual to see th limits you will have to abide by.
The receiver portion of the EcoHitch is completely removable, so you can make it look like you don't have a hitch on at all when it is not in use. If you want to remove the receiver of the EcoHitch, since you have a refresh model you can cover the hole in the fascia where the receiver portion sticks out with Undercover Access Hole Cover # 306-XA2001.
The EcoHitch Trailer Hitch is a great option for your 2016 Tesla Model S, and is my recommendation for your Tesla, even with the "sticker shock" that you mentioned.
