Today we're going to take a look at the Undercover Access Hole Cover for the EcoHitch Stealth trailer hitch receiver on the Tesla S models. Now on the Tesla S cars, when you do install the EcoHitch, they install the hitch underneath the rear of the car, and then they cut a hole and it's an access hole to where the hitch receiver would plug in when you're going to tow something or carry a bike rack, and then it pulls out when it's not being used, but it leaves a hole underneath the vehicle. What this panel does, this will keep the dirt and debris from entering that access hole where your EcoHitch's detachable hitch receiver would install. It is designed to work on the two different EcoHitches for the Tesla S. The part number 306-X7201, which is the two-inch hitch or the 306-X7202, which is the inch-and-a-quarter hitch.Basically what happens is this tab right here will slide into the hitch. So when you remove your receiver, this will slide in place into the hitch.
And this magnet right here is what will keep the cover from falling out while you drive. The cover has a nice rubber seal on it to help keep dirt and moisture out of the access hole, helps resist hardening and cracking, and it does retain the shape, even in sub-zero temperatures. The panel does eliminate any wind noise underneath the car from hitting the access port while you drive. The cover itself is a nice aluminum construction. Very durable.
You can see it has a nice black powder coat finish to it for superior rust protection. All the hardware used is stainless steel hardware.Now it does offer, if you notice, two brackets. I've installed the A bracket, it's stamped. This one's stamped B. The difference is, you'll use the bracket, whatever correct size hitch.
So if you have the two-inch hitch, you'll use the A bracket. That's what I bolted to the holes here, and then the magnets right here. Does come with an Allen wrench to help you install these bolts. If you have the inch-and-a-quarter hitch, then you use the B bracket. And that one's installed for the inch-and-a-quarter hitch.
Does come with a nice set of instructions that will describe all that and how to install it. And this part is made in the USA, but that should do it for the review on the Undercover Access Hole Cover for the EcoHitch Stealth trailer hitch receiver on the Tesla S model..

Magnets keep cover from falling out as you drive. Rubber seal resists cracking or freezing.Everything about this access cover concept is perfect except for the rubber seal around the edges. It is supposed to be attached with some two-sided tape, but mine came partially detached, and the tape has little to no sticking power. It seems to hold for a while, but then falls off. For the price, I expected better quality throughout.
Fits over the hole left by the stealth hitch install. Powerful magnet keeps it it place. Drove over rail road tracks and some potholes and it didn’t budge! Well made product.
Nice hitch cover, not exactly square seal on the bumper, curve is off a little.

EcoHitch reached out and replaced the cover with the bad seal. The new part arrived quickly and has worked flawlessly over the past year without issue. Excellent customer service.
