Question:

I have a 6x10 trailer with a 2inch ball hitch. The latch assembly fell out so I need a replacement. The hitch has Shelby 5135. Which replacement latch would you recommend? Will the CA-5100-RK work?

I do have a solution for you but unfortunately, the CA-5100-RK isn't compatible with your Shelby 5135 coupler.

While there isn't a repair kit available for your coupler, replacing the entire unit is just as cost effective. For a very similar replacement, I recommend the etrailer.com Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-5003-Z. This takes a 2 inch ball, is rated for 5,000 lbs and fits a 3 inch wide channel just like your Shelby coupler. I've attached a photo showing the mounting hole distance of 3-1/16 inches for you as well.
