I recommend etrailer.com Channel Tongue Coupler part # CT-5003-Z to replace the Shelby 5135 coupler. The etrailer.com coupler has a channel width of 3" and takes a 2" ball. It also has 3" from center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole which are the dimensions of your Shelby coupler.

How far down are the mounting hole from the inside top of the coupler? My Shelby 5135 is 1" down and all the couplers I've found in stores are 3/4" down. I really don't want to drill new holes in my trailer.

I have a Shelby 5135 that I would like to replace with something maybe 2' longer. The purpose would be so that I don't have to back my trailer so far in to launch/load exposing my truck wheels to the salt water. I live in St Helena Island, SC. Any thoughts? TIA Joel
