The 2000 Toyota Tundra didn't have the plug and play connector under the dash, so your controller which is the same as the Tekonsha branded # TK63VR that we carry would need to be hardwired in. Don't worry, it's a pretty simple installation. We have the resources to help you through the process.
Other than the brake controller, you'll need the # ETBC7 install kit that you've looked at and a functional 4-pin trailer connector installed on the truck. If you don't have a 4-pin trailer connector, you can install one using part # 118367. If you don't already have the wiring pigtail that plugs into the harness coming off the back of your controller, you can either cut that plug off and wire it in or use a pigtail like # 7894 as a quick disconnect.
I've linked you to an install video that shows a different controller being installed on a 2002 Tundra, but the procedure will be exactly the same on your 2000 model with the brake controller you have. The video will walk you through the install step by step, and I've also linked to the instructions for the # ETBC7 kit.
