Perfect, the way it should be. Easy to order, got here 1 day early.

by:

Good price and fast shipping

by:

I shouldn’t need to modify or bend the hitch to install it. It was not damaged in shipping.

by:

THIS HITCH WORKED GREAT

by:

It's junk does not fit my 2002 Toyota tundra, I asked several times

by:

Mounting holes are not aligned up, first holes aligned but not on second holes (off by 3/8" on both sides) with my truck chassis holes. I had to using hammer to bang on both ends to made them aligning up.

by:

Had to stretch the brackets to fit. Kinda a hassle

by:

You need a 6" C-clamp and a good set of drill bits. Any other approach will result in time wasting. Other than that, it is solid.

by:

Received the Hitch though the left side bracket which bolts to the frame tail was bent in to the Point that the holes did not align up . I had to tweak the left side to retrue the alignment.

by:

better than spected

by:

worked as advertised; you have the right product for the 05 Tundra

by:

I purchased a Curt Trailer Hitch class 3 #13184 and in seven (7) days.Shipping time was great. Hitch was of good quality, not hard to put on.I put it on by myself. The only problem I encountered was I had to take a pair of vice grips to pull hitch over to put the last bolt in.Over all very satisfied with ordering, shipment and installtion. I would recomend this hitch and Company.

2006 Toyota Tundra

As many others have mentioned the mounting holes don’t line up and you have to spread it out about an 1”, at least with the one I got. The simplest method I found without scratching the paint was to take my Toyota jack and screw it to a 4x4. There were holes already in the bottom of the jack. Then a piece a wood on the other side and crank the jack. You can dial it precisely in this way like a gentlemen without cursing and bleeding knuckles.

by:

Screw holes were off by mms. however, overall the frame is sturdy and well made. I had to drill I couple more hole just to be safe. used mainly to transfer my super73 bike to the beach. I havent hitched anything significant to it yet. I have a 2002 Toy Tundra. I recommend this product highly.

I own a 2006 Toyota Tundra. Had a TommyGate lift installed and factory one would not work. Only Curt offered one that will work. Purchased it from etrailer and it arrived in a timely manor and in good shape. I installed it and a year later it still looks good, no rust, like the rest of my truck. Truck was purchased in Arizona and shipped to Pennsylvania. Had the truck professionally tut proof from Ziebhart to keep it that way. Very satisfied with purchase of the Curt hitch from etrailer.

2001 Toyota Tundra

This was a perfect replacement for the rusted out hitch I had on my 2001 Toyota Tundra. etrailer.com was extremely helpful. I called them on the phone to verify the fit to the truck and they sent me the hitch the very next day! Every thing went smoothly... WITH a hitch. ;>) I'm glad I climbed under the truck to find this out before towing anything. My trailer wiring was not functioning, so it was serendipitous that I found this out before a potential towing nightmare.

  • Trailer Hitch that Fits 2002 Toyota Tundra with Towable Bumper
The Curt hitch part # 13184 is the correct hitch for your 2002 Toyota Tundra that has the towable bumper. This hitch has a towing capacity of 5,000 lb. I attached an install video for it for you to check out as well.

  • Why Wouldn't Curt Hitch for 2000 Toyota Tundra Have Mounting Holes Line Up
Hey Oliver, so the Curt hitch part # 13184 is listed as a fit for your 2000 Toyota Tundra but what most likely happened is that it got bent in shipping just looking at the mounting flange design and how often this happens. You can try again with a new hitch or if you still have this you can try bending it back to get it to fit. You can use an open stairwell for leverage or sometimes a floor jack can be helpful.

  • How to Determine If a 2002 Toyota Tundra Has a Towable Bumper
The factory towable bumper on a 2002 Toyota Tundra is one that has about a 1" diameter hole drilled in the center of the bumper for a hitch ball. I have attached a photo of a Tundra with and without a factory towable bumper for you to help distinguish between the two. The factory towable bumper also has extra bracing for support. I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13184 which works on models both with and without the factory towable bumper. This is a Class III hitch...

  • What is the Difference Between the Towable and Non-Towable Bumper on a 2002 Toyota Tundra
The difference between a 2000 Toyota Tundra with a towable bumper and a non-towable bumper is that the model with the towable bumper will have a cutout in the center of the bumper for a hitch ball wheres the model with the non-towable bumper will not have a cutout in the center of the bumper for a hitch ball. The trailer hitch receiver I recommend for your Tundra is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13184 because it will fit models both with the towable bumper and models with the...

  • Can You Replace The Factory Hitch Receiver On A 2004 Toyota Tundra.
Thanks for reaching out, those factory bumpers are a unique situation but I have a solution or two for you: **Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13184. *Westin Fey Surestep Rear Bumper - Black Powder Coated Steel # 61001. My first recommendation is to replace the rusted out factory receiver with the Curt trailer hitch and bumper with the Westin Fey. • Replacement Hitch for 2006 Toyota Tundra With Towable Bumper and Factory Hitch Installed
There has been quite a bit of debating back and forth over whether or not a hitch like the # 13184 can be installed on your 2006 Toyota Tundra. The manufacturers have also had mixed answers on the fit over time. One thing is for certain, installation would require modification of the bumper and also the removal of the factory hitch. Even then, there is no guarantee you will be able to fit a custom hitch on your vehicle. The best option would be to use a universal hitch like the Draw-Tite...

You can remove your factory hitch and install an aftermarket one on your 2005 Toyota Tundra. The factory hitch may be welded in place, and if so you will need to make sure the welded portion won't come in contact with the new hitch location or cut the old hitch off. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13184 for your replacement hitch receiver. I've attached a video of this installation for you to assist in location as well as your installation. • Replacement Trailer Hitch for 2006 Toyota Tundra w/ Factory Hitch
The 2006 Tundra could have been equipped with the 'Factory' hitch two different ways. If it was a dealer installed option, it would simply bolt to the frame members but if it arrived from the factory with the hitch, the hitch is tied into the bumper mounting brackets and the bumper would need to be replaced to remove the existing hitch. Since you've already replaced the bumper, you'll be able to install the # 13184, which Curt has confirmed for me. For a wiring harness, you'll need #...

  • Replacing Factory Hitch on 2006 Toyota Tundra
The answer to your question will depend on if you have the actual 'factory' hitch which is incorporated into the bumper brackets or the 'dealer installed' hitch which is just bolted to the frame. If you have the dealer installed hitch, you can remove it and replace it with the # 13184 you'd looked at. If you have the actual factory hitch, you'll need to replace the rear bumper with one for a vehicle that doesn't have the factory hitch. If you do replace the hitch, you'll want to give...

  • Replacement Trailer Hitch for 2006 Toyota Tundra
The trailer hitch that fits to the frame of your 2006 Toyota Tundra with the least amount of drilling is part # C13180. This only has 6 mounting bolt holes. The Curt hitch is a confirmed fit if you do not have the factory towable bumper. If you have the factory towable bumper then you want part # 13184 instead I have linked some instructions for each trailer hitch that you can look at as well. Please note that these are custom fit so they are compatible with the OEM frame of your Tundra.
