Features to know about

Get More Out of Every Drive: Tow, Haul, and Carry with a Class III 2" Receiver

This hitch gives you the freedom to pull a trailer, haul gear, or mount a bike rack or cargo carrier. With a 5,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight rating and 500 lbs maximum tongue weight, it’s built for everyday towing and hauling. When used with weight distribution, those capacities increase to 7,500 lbs GTW and 750 lbs TW. The sturdy, square-tube design is strong enough for camping trailers, small boats, or loaded cargo trays without flexing under pressure.

Built to Last: Matte Black Powder Coat Over Protective Base Coat

The steel is finished with a matte black powder coat that resists rust and corrosion while giving the hitch a rugged look. This finish hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than glossy coatings, so it keeps looking good even after years of use. It’s the kind of durable protection you want when loading heavy gear or driving through rough weather.

Simple Bolt-On Install: No Welding or Cutting Required

This fully welded hitch bolts right to the frame using the included hardware kit—no welding needed. The precision robotic welding ensures everything lines up just right for a clean fit. It’s a straightforward DIY project with basic tools and clear installation instructions that let you get it done in your driveway. Once installed, the 2" receiver is ready for ball mounts, racks, and other accessories you already use.

THIS HITCH WORKED GREAT

by:

Perfect, the way it should be. Easy to order, got here 1 day early.

I shouldn’t need to modify or bend the hitch to install it. It was not damaged in shipping.

But damage during shipping is very common. Hitches are made to flex during shipping to prevent cracks in the welding. I have a link below for your reference.

Had to stretch the brackets to fit. Kinda a hassle

by:

Good price and fast shipping

by:

Item arrived damaged. etrailer sent out a new one immediately, which arrived quickly, but replacement was in even worse shape than the original. Multiple spots on both hitches bent to nearly 1"+ out of alignment.
And etrailer tells me to just "bend it back"? I went ahead and spent 2x as much on an OEM receiver - with double the capacity - and it arrived in pristine condition.

While etrailer support was mostly good about timely and respectful responses, the product quality was abysmally bad. If I had received just one bad item, that's fine, I understand - things get damaged. But two in a row is more likely poor craftsmanship.

I was also disappointed to hear that I had to provide my own box to return the receivers, since the ones they came in were too badly damaged to reuse.

You need a 6" C-clamp and a good set of drill bits. Any other approach will result in time wasting. Other than that, it is solid.

by:

Product well constructed, very heavy gauged and sturdy

by:

better than spected

by:

worked as advertised; you have the right product for the 05 Tundra

by:

Received the Hitch though the left side bracket which bolts to the frame tail was bent in to the Point that the holes did not align up . I had to tweak the left side to retrue the alignment.

Well I do see that this hitch will not fit vehicles with a factory installed hitch.

by:

Mounting holes are not aligned up, first holes aligned but not on second holes (off by 3/8" on both sides) with my truck chassis holes. I had to using hammer to bang on both ends to made them aligning up.

This can happen from time to time where the side brackets are knocked out of alignment. I know that you used a hammer and were able to install the hitch however we do have a FAQ that can help when this happens.

The reciver was bent so I’m unable to screw in multiple screws because it does not reach

How bent are we talking, Gavin? The arms/side brackets are actually made of a relatively mild steel so they can flex with the frame, otherwise they would break. This does cause them to get bent in shipping, but if it's only a little off, it can definitely be bent back into shape without any loss of structural integrity. If it is bent enough to crack the paint/powder coat though, we would want to get you a replacement as that is usually more than we are comfortable with. I included an article we have going over this in more detail as well as ways to bend it back into shape.

by:

It Dody fit the truck and I returned it.

by:

I purchased the Curtis class 3 hitch. A
This
is a good product good product. Had a minor problem with the mounting holes, that were not aligned. To correct this i went to a machine shop, which measured the required width. Then torque the frame to proper specs. It then bolted to the frame of my truck properly.
I am happy with this class 3 hitch.

by:

Awesome fast shipping fits perfectly th anks

by:

works well, built rugged. The mounting holes were a little narrower than the frame, but with a clamp to expand the flange I was able to spread out the hitch to meet the existing holes on the frame.

Product is crooked!

Hey Peter! It looks like your hitch may be flexed and this is completely normal and easily fixed. You can follow the instructions in the link below and that should resolve your issue!
