Question:
I would like to know the range of the wireless monitor? I have a 36’ RV and want to be sure it has the range to receive the signal inside the coach. Thanks

I checked with SMI and the CoachLink 900 Wireless Transmitter and Receiver Braking Indicator Set # SM99945 has a 1/2 mile reception range without obstruction.

I am confused. I purchased this product based on the range specified, but it does not reach the driver location on my 30' RV. It works fine close to the tow car (like 10', 20', etc) but when I try to use it with my tow car attached, there is no signal. I have tested it with the tow car parked in front of the RV and it works fine, but it does not work when the tow car is attached. The RV is 30' and the distance from the back of the RV to the transmitted is about 12' - 15'. Any ideas? Note: I cannot return it since more than 30 days passed before I discovered the problem,
