Tow Bar Lighting Kit Recommendation for 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor

Updated 05/13/2025 | Published 03/12/2025

Question:

Hi, I bought a 2024 Bronco Raptor and need to complete the flat towing set up. My RV has an Airforce One system and I have the Roadmaster Nighthawk towbar. I was looking at the following parts: - SM99209: 2nd vehicle airforce one set up - SM99945: wireless brake monitor - RM92ZR: Roadmaster base plate Im not sure what wiring kit I should get to be able to use brake and indicator lights of the Raptor. Can you advice on that one? And Im not I have a wire plug for the car with any of the above. I believe this came with my nighthawk towbar but that one is installed in another vehicle. Do you have that part? Thanks, Marc

Hey Marc, you are off to a great start with the part numbers # SM99209, # SM99945, and # RM92ZR.

For lighting I would recommend the Roadmaster part number # RM-15267 which comes with diodes to wire into your taillight wires to activate the taillights as well as the umbilical cable to go from the rear of the motorhome to the front of the towed vehicle.

Hi James, I have one other follow up question. I have a Bronco Raptor and the indicator light is the same as the brake light. Do I need anything additional for the wiring? I thought I read it somewhere but I can not find it back. Thanks, Marc

@Marc This is a really great question but while your vehicle has separate turn signals from the stop lights the Roadmaster kit I mentioned will wire them up to work as a combined system. So the current stoplights will flash either side when the blinkers are on and will both light up at same time when brakes are applied.
