Question:

I have a 1999 Featherlite 4 horse slant gooseneck trailer. I am in need of break away trailer brakes? Do all of work on all trailers or would I need something specific for my trailer?

You can use electric brakes like part # AKEBRK-7-SA (for 5.2K - 7K axles) along with an electric breakaway kit like the Hopkins Engager # 20400 to add a breakaway system to your 1999 Featherlite gooseneck trailer.

Since I'm not quite sure the weight capacity of your axle(s) or if you have hub/drums already I would need to know this information before I could make any specific recommendations. If you are just looking for a breakaway kit then the Engager that I mentioned above is a great option that works with single and tandem (dual) axle trailers.
