Features to know about

Built for Heavy-Duty Towing: 3,750-lb Capacity

This 16" x 6" Dexstar steel wheel is made to handle serious weight with confidence. It’s rated for 3,750 lbs and meets Department of Transportation specs, so it’s ready for loaded trailers that see frequent hauling. The +0.5" positive offset positions the rim closer to the trailer frame for a stable stance under heavy loads.

Durable Finish That Fights Corrosion: Black Powder Coat Over E-Coat Primer

Long days on the road and in the elements can take a toll on metal, but this wheel’s layered finish keeps rust at bay. The e-coat primer seals the steel against moisture, and the black powder coat adds an extra layer of corrosion resistance while giving the wheel a clean, classic look that stays sharp after miles of use.

Straightforward Fitment and Balance: 8 on 6-1/2 Bolt Pattern with 4.89" Pilot Diameter

Getting the right fit doesn’t have to be complicated. This conventional design uses a common 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern and fits stud sizes of 1/2"-20 or 9/16"-18. The pilot diameter is 4.89", and the mounting surface sits slightly outside the rim centerline for easy alignment and a solid connection to your hub.

Proven Quality You Can Depend On: DOT-Certified Steel Construction

The sturdy steel build and attention to spec detail give this wheel lasting reliability. Owners who’ve used Dexstar wheels for years mention how replacements match perfectly with earlier sets—no guesswork, just consistent quality that holds up through countless miles of towing and rebuild projects.

Ready for Upgrades and Accessories: Compatible with Baby Moon Hubcaps

If you want to finish off your setup with a traditional look, this Dexstar wheel works with Phoenix USA Baby Moon Hubcap # PX1309SS without modification. It’s a simple way to add style without sacrificing function or fit.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Black powder coated, 16" steel trailer wheel features an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern and meets Department of Transportation standards.

by:

I ordered 3 wheels on Wednesday August 31st, and they were on my front door step on Saturday September 3rd,2022. I expected them to be here in 7-10 days. Great service from e -Trailer. I will put tires on the wheels and get my 1954 3/4 ton 3600 Chevrolet back on the road. I am replacing my original Split Rims Wheels with Tubes/ Tires. These Wheels fit with no modifications.

by:

I have purchased 4 or these wheels and 4 hub covers to be used on a 1955 1st series 3/4 ton Chevrolet truck and I am extremely happy with these wheels! They clear the tie rods enough, but probably won’t be able to put balance weights on the inside. Some installers put balance weights on the inside, so I will let them know not to. Again, I’m very happy with these wheels and the service. They came quickly and in good condition and Allison K was very pleasant and helpfull. Great company to do business with!

by:

Arrived today fits good will be ordering 2 more

by:

Great fit and finish.

by:

As the 3rd owner of my 1948 Chevrolet 3600, it's been important to find high quality rims to replace the original split rims. The Etrailer rims have the original rear profile and offset as the original rims. I knew the original owners of this truck so it is incumbent upon me to do the very best job I can with this restoration. The high quality of the Etrailer rims nearly rivals the originals made by GM so many years ago. I'm proud to have bought them.

by:

Paint holds up well, so far working fin e!

by:

They Fit perfect!

by:

delivery was fast item in good order

by:

Easy to deal with … great customer service and very fast and protected shipping. Wheels are quality with nice finish. Buying to use on our 1953 Chevy 3600 to replace locking rims.

Great ! No issues and we drive the old truck frequently… After a year they are holding up excellent and even the paint looks great still. I highly recommend

by:

They look very nice

by:

ust some feedback that might be valued. I purchased the rims on above order #. they were not used until now. I used these rims on my completely original and stock 1954 Chevrolet 3600 3/4 ton truck. I used 215/85/16 10ply tires. Everything fit with no mods, tie rod is close but good. This was a major improvement over my lock ring wheels and bias tires. Good made in USA wheels at a good price. thanks

As expected, finish is holding up well.

Reasonable price. Heavy & well built wheel, nice paint job, well packaged, and delivered on time.

by:

Nice wheels for a 1953 Chevrolet 3800!

by:

This item is hard to find on the market, and it is exactly what I needed for my 1953 Chevy 3800 truck!

by:

Fit perfect. hub caps are a little loose but holding tight. Rims has a minimal wobble but acceptable going on my old 1951 3/4 ton gmc replacing the original split rims. Very tight fit had to peen the balance weights so they did not hit steering joints the other reviews were helpfull

by:

Just what I needed for the truck restoration! Quick and easy.

by:

Installed on a 19

by:

Increadibly pleased. etrailer has been a pleasure to work with. Quality product and quality experience. Wheels arrived much quicker than expected, packaged very well with no damage. Quality wheel that take paint well if black is not the desired color. Excellent experience!

by:

Didnt use these for a trailer but rather a 1948 Chev 3/4 ton truck. Coulnt find anyone to touch the original split rims for new tires. Fit perfect with the offset. Good finish on rims. I added hub caps and beauty rings and they look great.

by:

Great wheel, made in USA. Fast shipping, no problems. Thank you

by:

They Fit my Chevrolet 51 3600. No issues at all.

@Jon Awesome. I'm a sucker for old trucks. They just had so much more style than new ones. Glad you are helping keep that style on the road! : )

Identical match to the 3 existing wheels on my 1994 PJ gooseneck trailer.

This wheel was a good fit for my 1950 Chevy 36000 (3/4 ton) truck. A great look with the baby moon hubcaps. A nice upgrade due to the service issues with the factory original split rim wheels.

These rims fit my 51 Chevy 3600 perfect. The only thing I recommend is to use stick on wheel weights when balancing the front wheels so the weights don't hit the tie rod end. I used 7.5-16 tires and they fit fine with no issues.

Those look right at home on a '51 Chevy 3600! We'd love to see the finished truck—are you keeping it mostly original, or are you building it into more of a custom cruiser?

I plan to keep the original farm truck look. I will add that I was able to drill and tap 4 holes to use the original hub cap clips. I used 12-24 threads for the clips and I love the look of the truck with the original hub caps.

I bought a set of wheels about 6 years ago for my 54 3600 Chevy, needed one more for a spare. As soon as I told the sales person that, they knew what it was and had all of the info for the new order. The whole event took probably less than 5 minutes

The set of wheels and the spare are working as expected and finish has held up well in the outside environment.

You're correct. I believe the wheel that they are refering to is the Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel # AM20766. This has the same 8 on 6-1/2" lug pattern that the 1953 Chevrolet Advance Design Trucks had.
