Why Would Roadmaster Invisibrake Drain Vehicle Battery

Last week e-trailer installed the invisibrake on my 2018 Subaru Forester 2.5i manual six speed. The Subaru battery is drained after three hours. Lights of 2015 Thor motorhome are on and red cable is securely attached. Please help trouble shoot. Shane gave me a walk through June 21.

The Invisibrake part # RM-8700 does draw power form your Forester battery to activate so over time the battery will eventually drain if not maintained while flat towing. So what you can do is install the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 which will put a maintenance charge on your Forester battery as you are towing. This will require the trailer wiring of your tow vehicle to have the 12 volt circuit. If not you'd also need the # RM-156-75.
