Is Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Kit Needed With Roadmaster Invisibrake
Published 11/29/2022 >
Question:
I purchased a Roadmaster Invisibrake system from eTrailer as well as additional Brakebuddy battery charging kit, but I now noticed that the Invisibrake is supposed to trickle-charge the battery during use. Do I not need the Brakebuddy supplemental battery charging kit? thanks

Expert Reply:
Appreciate the purchase of the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700.
And as far as the trickle charge, the InvisiBrake does provide up to a 2 amp charge on your battery if the running lights are on, so if the running lights are always on, you don't need the BrakeBuddy Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Kit # BB54FR.
If your running lights (often activated by headlights) are going to be off at any point though, the charge line kit is something you'll want to use.
