To install the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, item # 1012-1, you will need 3/8 inch, 7/16 inch, 1/2 inch, and 1-1/4 inch socket wrenches. There is no drilling required on your vehicle to install these brackets, and all the necessary installation hardware, including plates, washers and spacers, is included with the base plate kit.
