Is there an option for a tow hitch that will fit a 2012 Highlander with a 19inch spare? What could I do to make part# 75586 fit?

We do have one trailer hitch option that will fit the 2012 Toyota Highlander with a 19 inch spare tire. Take a look at Curt trailer hitch, # 13534. This hitch has been determined to fit with the full size, 19 inch spare tire. I have included a link to the installation instructions, a video showing a typical installation, and a picture that shows the hitch installed.

If you plan on doing some towing I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. For trailer wiring, use # 118449. I have included a link to the installation instructions for the wiring as well.
