Does 5th Wheel Landing Gear Set with 8k Capacity Have Capacity for 12k RV
Updated 05/20/2019 | Published 05/18/2019 >
Question:
I see from the answers that many gear are interchangeable. I have a 12k rated RV. The gear says 8k total. I am guessing this means 4k per leg. Since the tires and rea Jacks should take half the load then even the 6k should be enough for my replacement?

The combined weight capacity of the Landing Gear Set # RVLG-8000 that you referenced is 8,000 lbs which would be enough for a trailer that weighs a total of 12,000 lbs for the reason you mentioned. The axles of the trailer carry most of the weight and the jacks would support around 25-30 percent.
I attached a review video for this landing gear set for more info for you to check out as well.
