Question:
Hello , I have a non factory hitch without 4x4inch side plate space. I gather that I will have to put on a new hitch to install tie down brackets . What combination of a hitch and torklift tie down brackets would you recommend ?

All of the TorkLift tie downs for the 2007 Toyota Tundra do require at least a 4 inch by 4 inch side plate on the vehicle's hitch to bolt the tie downs to. If the hitch on your vehicle does not have a 4x4 side plate, you do have to install a new hitch with larger side plates to install the tie downs. I have attached a photo of how the tie downs attach to the aftermarket hitch.
For the tie downs on a 8 foot bed, I recommend TorkLift part # TLT2305 for the front and part # TLR3500 for the rear. I have attached the installation videos for the TorkLift tie downs on a 2008 Toyota Tundra.
I recommend Curt Class V hitch part # C15398 to install the tie downs. The side plates on the Curt hitch are well over 4 inches by 4 inches. The tie down brackets bolt into the side plate of the hitch and the tie down extensions pin into the bracket. You can remove the extensions when the camper is not on the truck and the brackets stay on the vehicle out of sight. I have also attached an installation video on a 2013 Toyota Tundra.
