Question:
I have a 2021 Chevy Silverado LT with a 2019 Lance 955s truck camper. I will be pulling a 12 ft double axle utility trailer with a Polaris Rzr Sport 1000. The combined weight of the Rzr and trailer is a bit less than 3000 lbs. Please advise which extension would be best for my set up or let me know if you need more info. Thx.

Hey Cindy, thanks for reaching out. We may have an extension that will work for you. It will help to know exactly how long of an extension you are needing as this will be one of the main deciding factors. Let me know how long you need it to be in the comments below.
Also, another thing to keep in mind here is that using a hitch extended effectively cuts your hitches towing capacity in half. I am not sure exactly what hitch you have on your Silverado, but you will need to make absolutely sure it is rated for at least 6,000 lbs. Preferably it is rated for more than that since you would be cutting it super close with a 6,000 lbs hitch at half capacity.
The only way to add an extension without decreasing towing capacity is to use one of the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extensions like part # TLE1548. This requires installation of a TorkLift brand Aftermarket hitch, part # TL74BR. This would be the best, most ideal setup for towing a trailer with a Lance camper and extension.
If you can let me know how long of an extension you need, plus confirm the weight capacity of your hitch and I am happy to continue to assist.

Also does that aftermarket hitch go around thw spare tire? Can't remember if it was a Chevy Silverado truck but I remember reading someone had a problem with that....

Thanks Jesse. My hitch is rated for 7500 lbs...presently though I'm not sure how long the extension needs to be...have been trying to figure that out. I should have measured when the camper was still on the truck but I didn't...and now trying to find someone that knows the answer. I'll reply when I get it figured out.
