Question:
Im needing everything except a tow bar to tow my 2006 jeep liberty behind my motorhome. Bracket, cables, wiring, brakes. Ill even consider a new towbar if price is right. I have an older roadmaster 5250? rated for 6000lb. If I buy from you, do you have locations for installation in my area? Natchitoches, LA 71457 If you can offer estimates on purchase and installation costs, Id appreciate it. Thanks you

I'm happy to assist with recommendations for your 2006 Jeep Liberty for flat towing. Your Roadmaster tow bar will work just fine with the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # RM-521423-4 and Loctite # LT37420. Then you will also need the safety cable # RM-643.
Then for your tow bar wiring, I recommend the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # HM56203 along with the Hopkins Nite-Glow Tow Bar Extension Cord w/ Socket - Coiled - 7-Way RV to 6-Way Round - 8' Long # HM47054 to run from your motorhome to your Jeep. You will simply cut off the 4 way connector and then wire it to the 6-way connector. Then I recommend adding the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 to charge and maintain your Jeep battery when towing.
Then for your supplemental braking system I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251. This system only required adjustment at installation and then becomes a plug and play system requiring just a literal flip of the switch to change between driving and towing modes. You will also need the Roadmaster relay # RM-88400 to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.
Finally you will need a high-low adapter for your combination of motorhome and vehicle. I've attached an article to help with the measurements you'll need and then I've linked a page to your adapter options to ensure safe towing height.
We don't have the ability to recommend other installers because we have no way of tracking the quality of work, but we do installations at our facility in Wentzville Missouri. Installation costs vary based on the components being used as some simply take more time to install than others. Complete systems like this are normally a days work of 6-8 hours.
Let me know if you have more questions.
