Question:
Our son asked for a etrailer hitch for Christmas for his 1994 GMC Yukon. As I see on your web page there are 3 models. What is the difference among the 3 models and which do you recommend for this vehicle? Thanks for a reply.

Since you referenced 3 trailer hitches that fit your son's 1994 GMC Yukon I believe you are referring to the Curt options. The main difference between all 3 options is that each one has different gross towing weight (GTW) and tongue weight (TW) weight ratings:
Curt Class III - # C13121 500 lbs TW/5,000 lbs GTW
Curt Class III - # C13029 600 lbs TW/6,000 lbs GTW
Curt Class IV - # C14029 1,000 lbs TW/10,000 lbs GTW
When I looked up the max trailer weight rating for a '94 Yukon it looked like it is 7,000 lbs. To get the max out of the vehicle I recommend going with the Class IV # C14029 but if he plans on using it for light use the Class III # C13029 will definitely get the job done and is what I recommend getting him.
These are nearly identical trailer hitches with the only difference being that one is a little more robust which is where that extra weight rating comes from. I have attached an installation video of the Class IV on a 1998 Chevy Suburban as well as the written instructions for you to reference.
If your son is planning on using the trailer hitch for towing then he will also need wiring like the Curt # C55319 and a ball mount kit like the Curt # C45056. I have attached some helpful articles that you can check out (or have him check out) if he will be towing a trailer.
Merry Christmas!
