Features to know about

Haul What You Need Safely: Class III Strength and 2" Receiver

This hitch gives you the versatility to tow or carry just about anything you need for work or play. With a 2" x 2" receiver opening and Class III rating, it’s rated for up to 6,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 600 lbs tongue weight. When used with weight distribution, those numbers jump to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs TW. That’s plenty of muscle for small campers, boats, or utility trailers without stepping into heavy-duty territory.

Built to Last Through the Miles: Fully Welded, Powder-Coated Steel

The hitch is made from steel that’s fully welded for durability and rigidity. A gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base coat to fight off rust and corrosion. It’s tough enough to handle regular towing and still look clean under the bumper. The visible cross tube design keeps things simple while offering solid support where it counts.

Simple Bolt-On Install: No Welding Required

This one bolts right up to your frame—no welding needed. Everything you need for mounting comes in the box, including the complete hardware kit and installation instructions. It’s designed for a straightforward install in your own driveway with basic tools. Precision robotic welding helps ensure everything lines up right where it should, so you spend less time struggling with fitment and more time getting ready to tow.

I wish that I had a video to offer on this one. We primarily make videos on vehicles that are 10 years or newer. If you do have any hiccups on the way, you are welcome to reach out to us.

Very pleased

by:

Super easy install, nice power coat finish. Been on the truck a year now, use it on a regular basis and still looks brand new! Very happy with this hitch.

by:

great service and communication product is A1

by:

I would like to say this went on without a hitch, but that wouldn't be true (sorry I couldn't resist). Anyway the product is exactly what it says. I think my install time was 40 minutes, but that included the time I took to wirebrush the bottom of my truck and spray with rust protector. I am extremely happy with the quality of the product.

I am very satisfied with the Curt trailer hitch receiver. I was so happy with the service from e-trailer, that I used them again with adding new lights and wiring to a 40 year old trailer. Again the application really worked great.

by:

Product was exactly as advertised. Fit perfectly on my Suburban. Didn't even need to drill holes out on frame! etrailer.com provided great videos on how to install the hitch (videos were located on their website). Could not have asked for a better experience. Hitch price was cheaper than other sites and shipping was fast and free!

Will a 96 yukon hitch fit a 03 yukon?

It does not appear so, but I would need the part number of the hitch to be 100 percent certain. It looks like the cut-off is 2000.

by:

Hitch arrived as promised. Fit my vehicle ('97 Suburban) perfectly. Instructions for installation were good although the actual installation took more time than estimated due to some quirks of the vehicle. I use the hitch to tow a drift boat and it has performed as promised. Great price when compared to commercial installation estimates. I would certainly purchase another hitch from Curt Trailer Hitch when the need arises.

  • Trailer Hitch for 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe
Hey David! The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13029 you were looking at fits all models of the 97 Tahoe, including your 2-door 4WD. This has a bolt-on installation and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Do you plan on towing? If so, you will also need Curt # C55319 for a 4-way. This will allow you to power your trailer's signal lights. For a ball mount, check out the etrailer # e67DR

  • Does Curt Hitch C13029 Fit 1995 GMC Yukon with Rear Tank
Hey Chadd, yes the Curt hitch part # C13029 does fit your 1995 GMC Yukon with a rear mounted spare. How big is that rear tank?

  • Availability of a Class III Trailer Hitch to Fit a 1997 Chevrolet K1500 Truck
I have a solution for you, but the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, # C13029, that you referenced will not fit the 1997 Chevrolet K1500 truck. If your truck has the standard or step bumper, then the Curt Class III Trailer Receiver Hitch, # C13042, will fit you truck. If your truck has the 10 inch deep drop bumper, then the Curt hitch, # C13099, is confirmed to fit. See attached picture to see the difference in bumpers.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 1994 GMC Yukon
Since you referenced 3 trailer hitches that fit your son's 1994 GMC Yukon I believe you are referring to the Curt options. The main difference between all 3 options is that each one has different gross towing weight (GTW) and tongue weight (TW) weight ratings: Curt Class III - # C13121 500 lbs TW/5,000 lbs GTW Curt Class III - # C13029 600 lbs TW/6,000 lbs GTW Curt Class IV - # C14029 1,000 lbs TW/10,000 lbs GTW When I looked up the max trailer weight rating for a '94 Yukon it looked...

  • Curt Hitch Recommendation for a 1996 Chevy Tahoe
The Curt Hitch part # C13029 has been confirmed as a fit for your 1996 Chevy Tahoe, there isn't any fit info available as to whether or not it will also fit vehicles with roll pan bumpers. The best solution I can give you would be to check out the install instructions I attached to see how it installs as well as check out the install video that shows how a similar hitch installs on a similar vehicle. The hitch is designed to sit right underneath the bottom of the factory bumper. If your...

  • Recommended Hitch and Wiring for a 1994 GMC Suburban C1500
The Curt Class IV Hitch # C14029 and the Curt Class III Hitch # C13029 will install exactly the same and will sit at 18 1/4 inches from the ground to the top of the hitch. With these being 2 inch receivers and having, roughly, a 1/4 inch lip going around the outside of the receiver opening, you would be looking at 16 inches of ground clearance with stock suspension and wheels. Deciding between the Class III and Class IV hitches will depend on the weight capacity needed. The Class IV #...

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver on 1998 Chevy Tahoe has 2 Different Weight Capacities
Some trailer hitch receivers do have separate ratings for when a Weight Distribution (WD) system is used. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13029, which fits your 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe, is normally rated for 600 lbs Tongue Weight (TW) and 6,000 lbs Gross Trailer Weight (GTW). When a WD system is used those ratings are bumped up to 1,000 lbs TW and 10,000 lbs GTW. This means that you can go by the higher weight ratings as long as the weight ratings for your Tahoe are not exceeded. To select...

  • Availability of Trailer Hitch for 1995 Chevy Suburban
Valley Industries is no longer in business and I was unable to locate any product information in my research with the numbers you found stamped into the hitch. I was not able to find what vehicles this hitch might have been designed to fit. As you have discovered, trailer hitches are custom-fit for specific year and model vehicles. We do have a nice selection of hitches that are confirmed to fit your 1995 Chevy Suburban. I recommend looking at the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch # C13029....

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver Fit for 1997 Chevy Tahoe with Customized Frame
It sounds like your frame has been shortened or notched. From the sound of it, I don't believe the Curt Class III # C13029 will fit any longer. I recommend the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver - 18"-51" Wide # C13701 due to the changes your frame. There will not be a custom fit for your application, so you will need to customize the hitch to fit your needs.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For 1998 Chevrolet Suburban Towing Small Fleetwood Travel Trailer
We have a couple of trailer hitches that are designed to fit your 1998 Suburban. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C13029. This is a class lll hitch and it also has a 2-inch receiver opening. We also have the Class lV Curt hitch, part # C14029. This hitch has a higher towing capacity and tongue weight capacity but since you said it is a small trailer it may be overkill. This trailer hitch has a 2-inch receiver opening. I recommend these two hitches because no drilling is...
