To install a 7-way trailer wiring connector on your 2018 Toyota Highlander I recommend the Tekonsha kit part # 22119 which comes with everything needed to install the 7-way and make it fully functional. Only thing else you'll want is a mounting bracket to secure the connector and for that you'd want the part # PK12711U.
